Integrating NEC SV8100  with Exchange Unified Messaging

Dear Marum,

I need your below suggestion on this

The phone system we have is an NEC SV8100  and do not have  NEC UM8000 voice mail system.
My requirement is i'd like to be able to do is get voice mails to be received and played through the inbox in Outlook
Currently We have Exchange 2010 without UM role .

Currently all users have their NEC deskphones and controlled by SV8100
Can you please give me the possibilities of integrating with our Exchange Server so that end users can receive their voice mails in Outlook.

1) Can i integrate by introducing the UM role to accept the voice messages from NEC SV8100 . If so can you please provide the steps or the document that guides me.
2) Can i integrate by introducing UM8000-Mail Solution to receive emails on my inbox .If so can you please provide the steps or the document that guides me.

Or if there is any other options for end users to receive their voice emails only in their mailbox would also be fine
Your response is highly appreciated.

1) That's a very specific model and I'm not sure if I've worked with that one specifically, is it capable of SIP or cable of the following:

  •          Simplified Message Desk Interface or SDMI (as defined in  the Telcordia GR-283-CORE standard)
  •          QSIG Call Diversion Supplementary Services (as defined by the ECMA-165, and ECMA-174  standards)
  •          EuroISDN Diversion Supplementary Services (as defined by the ETS 300 102-1 and ETSI EN 300 207-1 standards)

That's the first step to knowing if it's possible, if so the next step is choosing the right gateway/SBC vendor.

2) No idea, NEC partners would have a better idea of they can deliver to email directly, that would be up to their platform.
